Help Us Fight the Salinas Rent Stabilization Ordinance
The Tenant-Landlord Coalition of Monterey is actively raising funds to challenge the Salinas Rent Stabilization Ordinance. We are collaborating with local and regional law firms to thoroughly review the ordinance, identify legal avenues for opposition, and educate the public on the harmful impacts of rent control and stabilization measures.
Every dollar raised will be used to support legal challenges against this ordinance and to provide essential public education about its detrimental effects on both landlords and tenants. Together, we can protect a balanced and fair rental housing environment in Monterey County.

Formed in 2023, the Tenant-Landlord Coalition (TLC), is a growing group of concerned citizens seeking to promote the mutually beneficial exchange between renters and property owners with a minimal and limited amount of government intervention. Our group is comprised of both tenants and landlords who recognize the negative effects of rental registries, rent stabilization, rent control and how it diminishes the availability of suitable and affordable housing for both renters and buyers.
